Farzana Choudhury (Disability Law Supervising Solicitor, Canberra Community Law and Churchill Fellow)
Farzana is a community lawyer and human rights advocate, specialising in poverty, homelessness and disability rights. In 2022, Farzana completed a Churchill Fellowship, investigating overseas homelessness and poverty discrimination law frameworks. She was previously the Program Manager and Senior Solicitor with Canberra Community Law’s Street Law program, where she assisted people facing homelessness in civil and minor criminal matters. Prior to joining the community legal sector, Farzana was an in-house lawyer with the Australian Government. Farzana is President of the ACT Law Society, Disability Law Supervising Solicitor with Canberra Community Law, and a member of the Society’s Access to Justice and Inclusion Committee.
